Improving 5G Roaming
Services With SEPP
The launch of Standalone 5G Roaming is expected to take major steps forward during 2024 and 2025. According to Kaleido’s latest research, 5G NSA and SA roaming revenues will represent around 12% of total retail and wholesale roaming revenues in 2024, growing to 50% by 2026. Meanwhile, in a further show of operator intent, a survey conducted in Q1 2023 by Kaleido found 85% of participating mobile network operators are planning to launch 5G SA roaming by the end of 2025.
As more operators escalate efforts to launch 5G SA roaming, understanding the role of SEPP (Security Edge Protection Proxy) is increasingly important. While its common knowledge that SEPP is required in 5G SA roaming to enable secure inter-operator communication, there is a need to address all related value-added use cases which can help optimise their roaming business unit.
During this webinar, Kaleido, in conjunction with TOMIA and Vodafone, will inform the industry with new insights and discussion, to showcase the various roles SEPP can take to empower operators through value-added services, such as analytics, fraud protection, and steering.
